This tree is one of the 150 trees initially included in the arboretum to coincide with the campus's 150th anniversary celebration.

50-70 feet by 30-40 feet

Additional Notes:
Silver linden is a native of southern Europe and southeastern Asia.  While it shares the appearance of the littleleaf linden, beloved for shading streets and beer gardens in central Europe, the silver linden is often a more sensible choice for landscape planting, due to its greater resistance to insect and disease stresses.
