This tree is one of the 150 trees initially included in the arboretum to coincide with the campus's 150th anniversary celebration.

For those who can’t get enough of dogwood flowering season, Kousa dogwood is originally from East Asia and displays abundant green flowers after the native flowering dogwood is finished for the season. As a bonus, Kousa dogwood fruits can be processed to impart a tropical flavor to pies and jellies.
